2016 Fiat Punto Evo and Avventura PowerTech variants include changes in the feature list and more power in diesel engines available
Fiat is making sure it is listening to the enthusiast. The brand has made some critical changes over the past to expand its portfolio. The Italian manufacturer launched the Abarth series with the Punto siblings. Then it launched Pure and Classic versions of the Punto and Linea respectively. Fiat also saw a heavy demand of 90 PS diesel engine equipped cars and the 75 BHP engine demand decreasing. Fiat also their brand is more about performance than accessibility and efficiency. Let’s look at the critical changes that we can see in these new “PowerTech” branded cars.
2017 Fiat Punto Evo and Avventura PowerTech – Engine, Gearbox and Mileage
One of the many key changes that the Italian brand has done is in the engine options. Fiat is now only made 93 PS diesel engine available for Avventura and Punto Powertech variants. If you want the 75 BHP variant you can always choose the Pure variant. Engine makes 93 PS and 209 Nm to be precise. The motor is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. Mileage is rated at 20.5 km/l for Punto and 19 km/l for Avventura.
2017 Fiat Punto Evo and Avventura PowerTech Design and Dimensions
Punto got a facelift in 2014 and it was called the Punto Evo. The styling saw new headlights and tail lamps which made the car look more modern, Italian and fresh. Side profile stays identical and the front has a new bumper. Rear tail gate and bumper remain the same as usual. The car still looks great, but with large 16-inch wheels with 195/60 tyres.

2017 Fiat Punto Evo and Avventura PowerTech – Chassis, suspension and Brakes
The car continues to have the same suspension setup and high ground clearance. Independent wheel suspension with McPherson struts, Helical springs, Double acting Telescopic Dampers with Stabilizer bar at the front and Torsion beam, Helical Springs and Double acting Telescopic dampers at the rear are tuned in a way to mask the weight and making it one of the best driving cars in its segment and slightly above. Disc brakes at the front and drum brakes at the rear have enough stopping power and do their job well.

2017 Fiat Punto Evo and Avventura PowerTech- Interiors and Features
Interior features list is the second thing that the brand has revived in the PowerTech variants of the Avventura and Punto Evo. Interiors quality and materials remain the same and so does the color and seats. Major addition is the new 5-inch touchscreen. The touch screen gets you features such as Navigation with Map My India, USB, Bluetooth, AUX, USB and SD card slot.
2017 Fiat Punto Evo and Avventura PowerTech Launch and Price
Launch commenced in the month of July 2016 and it is available in the similar three variants as before such as Active, Dynamic and Emotion. Rs. 6.81 lakh for the Fiat Punto EVO and Rs. 7.87 lakh for the Fiat Avventura. Prices are ex-showroom, New Delhi.

ABS and EBD along with dual airbags can be found on top variants of the car. Base variants are still devoid of standard ABS and airbags.
