Grand i10 needs no introduction. The car has been a successful hatchback for the Korean manufacturer worldwide. In India it continues to be the top 3 hatchbacks which are ruling the urbans streets nationwide. The car had to get the most popular option that the urban dwellers look for, and that is an automatic gearbox paired to a petrol engine. 2016 Hyundai Grand i10 Automatic solves that issue and is finally introduced. 2016 Hyundai Grand i10 Automatic Engine, Gearbox and Mileage
Engine wise, The 1.2l petrol engine here is the highlight as it is mated to the automatic 4-speed gearbox. The engine makes 83 PS and 113 Nm of torque from its 4-cylinder engine. Mileage is rated at 18 km/l for the petrol variant. The diesel unit also continues to be the same but only mated to a manual gearbox option. There is also a LPG option for the engine but that’s gone because the 1.1l engine has been discontinued from the Grand i10 and is available in the last generation i10.

Measuring around the 3.8 meter mark, the car is quite compact and well styled on the outside thanks to the fluidic design language. The car has a funky looking head and tail lights and a C-pillar which is specially designed for the Indian market. Large bumper with an integrated grille make things look purposeful, simple and yet in your face. Diamond cut alloy wheels on the top variant make the car snazzier yet appealing to the mature audience.

Good quality interior and well laid-out dashboard with high quality materials and excellent fit-finish has been Hyundai trademark and the Grand i10 easily has all of it. Loaded with features with such as steering mounted controls, all types of connectivity options, 1 GB storage, parking sensors, push button start, keyless entry go, climate control and much more make the Grand i10 loaded to the brim. The only place where the car is a downer is the width which is bit tight when considered the competition, but it has a lot of legroom, headroom and generous boot space to compensate for that.
