2016 Kawasaki W800 India launch is all set to happen soon, the retro-modern motorcycle has been spotted in Pune for the first time
Couple of months back there was news in the corners of the market that Kawasaki was set to launch the W800 in the market. While they weren’t exactly confirmed, now there is visual proof. W800 has been spotted in dealership adding glamour to the entire floor. The retro-modern motorcycle is also set to be taken off from the shelves from Kawasaki worldwide and hence Kawasaki decided to make a final edition. This well could be the same edition model. Let’s have a detail look at what we can expect from this lovely looking motorcycle.
2016 Kawasaki W800 India Design and Dimensions
W800 arguably is the best middle weight retro-modern looking motorcycle of all time. The motorcycle has all the chrome, modern elements internally, but on the outside it all metal. The large exhaust, the last generation motorcycle cylinders, the stubby side panel, the large ribbed seat, pad on the fuel tank. The tank design and exhaust canister can be well passed of by onlookers by saying ‘Enfield ka copy kiya hai’. Overall, we are not complaining one bit here.

2016 Kawasaki W800 India Chassis, suspension and brakes
Dual cradle frame with telescopic front suspension and dual shocks at the rear are here to add to the visual appeal. We are sure they are tuned in modern fashion to provide ride, handling and practicality for today’s market. Rear suspension is adjustable unit. For a surprise, seen here is that the front disc is a 300mm unit with two pot caliper and the rear is large 160 mm drum on offer. There is a 100×90 section front tyre and 130×80 section rear tyre on offer. Front tyres is slapped on to 19 and rear is 18-inch.
2016 Kawasaki W800 India Engine And Specification
The engine is a 773cc Air-cooled, 4-stroke Vertical Twin motor that makes 48 BHP of power and 60 Nm of torque. The engine comes with mated with a old-school 5-speed gearbox. Drive is provided by a regular chain here. NO fancy shafts or belts here.
2016 Kawasaki W800 India Price and Launch
Price is expect to be around the Rs. 7-8 Lakh mark ex-showroom. Expect a launch of the same in the month of December 2016 itself.
