2016 Suzuki Access 125 will be the new benchmark in the segment as it claims to have class leading numbers right from BHP to price
The 125cc scooter segment is where Suzuki made its name, fame and fortune. The scooter was first higher specification vehicle in the segment and continues till date. After a fair amount of life cycle it is finally upgraded the scooter in every single way and company has taken customer feedback seriously. 2016 Suzuki Access 125 Design and colors
The scooter major highlight is the all new design. It gets a more modern design with a slightly retro feel to it. New headlight, tail-lamps, exhaust and new colors make it look more attractive and grown up in every way. The new Access 125 will be continued to be offered in the five existing colour options such as Pearl Suzuki Deep Blue, Candy Sonoma Red, Metallic Fibroin Grey, Glass Sparkle Black and Pearl Mirage White.
Suzuki Access 125 India Launch and Price
The Metallic Sonic Silver variant is being sold at Rs. 54,302 (Ex Showroom, Delhi) for the drum brake version and Rs. 57,615 (Ex Showroom, Delhi) for the disc brake version.
New model Access 125 Chassis, suspension and brakes
The underbone chassis has been revised and one of the reasons why the entire scooters has a lighter kerb weight. Panels are more plastic all around with very little steel used in body construction. Single sided monoshock at the rear is the suspension and front continues to get telescopic front forks. Disc brake is an optional while drums continue to be standard on all variants.
New model Suzuki Access 125 Engine and Mileage
The new 125cc SEP engine (Suzuki Eco Power) is completely redefined from top to bottom and is much more efficient and powerful unit then before. New pistons, crank, block and revised head make this all possible. The engine makes 8.58 BHP and 9.8 Nm of torque. The scooter is lighter by almost 10 kgs and will deliver class leading fuel efficiency than before and quicker acceleration.
This is the part where the scooter shines. It has always delivered a mileage of 110cc scooter despite best in class power and torque figures and being higher in displacement. The number goes as high as 62 km/l but expect the on-road figure of around 46-48 km/l which is 2-3 km/l more over the earlier version.
