The products such as Polo and Vento have done their job to keep the masses happy but the slightly niche people have been attracted. Reason is the rumor of high running and owning costs. Volkswagen Ameo Engine, Gearbox and Mileage
What is one of the two key highlights for the brand is the engines that it is set to offer. These engines are tried and tested and are a lot of fun on paper. The 1.2 Tsi Automatic is coming to the bay of the Ameo soon. Along with that the 1.5 diesel that makes 90 PS and 230 Nm of torque which will be mated to a 6-speed manual is available and a 7-speed DSG gearbox will come soon. Diesel should deliver around 21 km/l and petrol should deliver 18 km/l. 1.2 3-cylinder petrol makes 75 PS and 115 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
Volkswagen Ameo Design
Ameo design wise seems to be continuing with the Polo and Vento inspiration at the front and side. The side is miniature version of the Vento and Polo inspired front-end with similar headlights and grille continue. The front clearly looks meatier and the rear is quite unique with boxy boot lid and tail-lights.

Interior wise, there are a bit of changes to the center console over the Polo and Vento. Features wise is where the Ameo is at an all time high. The car is loaded with cruise control, electrical ORVM, reverse parking sensor, reversing parking camera, automatic wipers, automatic headlights, static bending fog lamps, touchscreen unit with MirrorLink that have Android and Apple CarPlay. Dual Beam headlights are clearly segment first and leather wrapped steering also segment best.
