2016 Yamaha Saluto RX100 Launch Date
The motorcycle is finally launched in India after much-needed boost that the company needs and had planned a 110cc engine for a long time. The name is carried from the Saluto 125cc, but the RX suffix has been added after a really long time to a motorcycle from the brand.
2016 Saluto RX100 Design
Saltuo RX100 carries the same design as the Saluto 125 which means it has premium styling at first glance. Tank is the same as before, but smaller in shape. The seat and grab rail are more commuter oriented and to bring the price at a lower position. Headlight is micro version of the MT series of motorcycles that we have seen on the second generation FZ. Carbon finish on tank makes think looks interesting. Overall, the profile of the bike is slim, but it eludes quality and is a substantial motorcycle for the mass market, a perfect balance which is the need of the day in this category.
Dimensions
2020mm x 740mm x 1045mm, Wheelbase stands at 1255 mm and Ground Clearance, is 175 mm. Kerb weight is just 98 kgs and the fuel tank capacity is a short 7.2 liter.

Yamaha Saluto RX100 Chassis, suspension and brakes
The motorcycle uses the same diamond single down tube chassis, with front forks and dual sided rear shocks at the rear. Rear suspension is hydraulic and is 5-step adjustment. Both ends of the wheels have drums brakes and there is no disc on option as of now for the motorcycle.
Yamaha Saluto RX100 Engine Mileage
The engine is brand new 110cc, air-cooled, 4-Stroke, 2-valve, single Cylinder Blue Core engine. The engine makes the 7.5 Ps @ 7000 RPM and maximum torque of 8.5 Nm @ 4500 RPM. The power goes through a four speed gear-box. Carburetor engine with higher compression ratio allows for smooth and efficient engine.
Expect 70-75 km/l in the overall fuel efficiency cycle of the vehicle. The claimed efficiency has though been 82 km/l which should be attainable at certain speeds (60-65 km/hr)on the highway as well. All of this makes it an efficient machine in its category

Saluto RX100 Safety and Features
There isn’t a disc brake or ABS/CBS on offer yet. However, that should come in the year 2018, where all motorcycles are set to get the same. Yamaha hasn’t offered a high intensity light bulb either like it’s fresh rivals. However, 35V bulb and Yamaha clear lens always do the job well when seen in earlier motorcycles.
