2017 Aprilia SR150 Race comes at a slightly higher price tag but once again it offers a lot of bang for the buck
Aprilia is ramping up its scooter portfolio after launching the very successful and sporty SR150 into the country. The response is been outstanding for the company and sales are at all time in the first few months already. The Aprilia SR150 sales combined took down the Vespa sales and is helping the market get a taste of performance scooters. The brand promised all of us that there will be variants to make sure that the scooter stay relevant and continues to offer exclusivity to the Indian buyers. It has done it and now the scooter here is in race version. It gets a bit of performance upgrades and most noticeably, the new livery which looks great. We have all the minor details changes taken place with the SR150 Race version. Have a look.
2017 Aprilia SR150 Race Design and Dimensions
The major changes are Moto GP inspired racing livery that is stuck on this motorcycle. The signature Aprilia colors can be seen used here all around. The springs at the rear is now red, so are the new alloy wheels. The golden color of the caliper is another distinction. Exhaust is set to be a ‘ race boom’ version which should offer more bass. Overall styling continues to be the same with a beak in the front, slim headlights and short and yet edgy rear.
2017 Aprilia SR150 Race Chassis, suspension and brakes
Underbone type chassis is the highlight and it helps get cost down for Aprilia. The suspension has been tuned for a stiff ride and is SR 150 should more fun to ride than before. Suspension is telescopic front forks and monoshock at the rear. Brakes are disc at the front and has a two-piston caliper. The 14-inch wheels also continue to be offer and has 120×70 section at the front and rear.

Priced at 70,288 makes it just Rs. 3000 extra over the standard version is worth it. Prices are ex-showroom Mumbai.
2017 Aprilia SR150 Race Engine And Specification
The engine continues to be the same with a revised CVT ratio to make more power in the lower rev-range. The engine is BSIV compliant. The motor makes 10.4 PS of power and 11.4 Nm of torque, which is segment best. The segment best power to weight ratio and now more low-end torque means the Race SR150 should be more peppier to ride.

There is a disc brake on offer. DRL AHO is provided. There is no CBS on offer. ABS could make it to this scooter very soon.
