Minor Updates on the new 2017 Hyundai Creta SX+ makes it more feature rich and flexible for customers to choose from
The Hyundai Creta has been a phenomenal success for its maker and continues to be in demand still after around two years of its launch. That said, clearly there is still some time left before we could think of a Facelift for the Creta as such, however, that doesn’t mean Hyundai is not keen to keep the Creta fresh in the market. Going further, Hyundai is said to be preparing to launch a minor update to the Creta for 2017 and its brochure has recently leaked online. As per the document, the Creta is set to get a few cosmetic touches along with addition of new equipment soon.
The 2017 Hyundai Creta is getting the in-trend dual tone colour shades for the top spec Creta SX+ trim. This dual tone will have a Phantom Black color roof with an option of either Polar White or Red Passion shade for rest of the body. Interestingly, this new dual tone colour scheme has been kept especially for the Manual transmission SX+ trims for both Petrol and Diesel Creta engines.
Hyundai is also giving the new Creta SX+ trim new black interior with red and black fabric upholstery. However, the rest of the trims continue to feature beige and black shades for interiors. Also, the Creta SX+ along with S+, SX+ Dual Tone & SX(O) trims will be getting the new Arkamys and Sound Mood system as standard fitment while the crossovers 7-inch AVN system will now be Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatible.
Hyundai is giving customers an option to choose the 1.4L CRDI U2 diesel engine for the Creta E+ grade as well, previously it was only available for the can base E grade. This engine makes around 90 PS and 219.67Nm of peak torque and is mated with a 6-speed manual gearbox. The variant is priced at RS. 9.99 lakhs
However, other engine options remains the same with the 1.6-litre Dual VTVT petrol engine good for 123 PS and 151.02 Nm of torque, and 1.6-litre CRDi VGT diesel engine that makes 128 PS and 259.88 Nm of torque. The above mentioned engines can be had in a choice of either 6-Speed manual or 6-speed automatic.
