2017 MV Agusta Brutale 800 showcased at EICMA finally gets launched in the country at a eye watering price
Italian motorcycle company, MV Agusta had displayed an updated version of the Brutale 800 at the EICMA motorcycle show in Milan, Italy. The bike can be yours for now just for Rs 4 Lakhs as booking amount and the motorcycle will be delivered in 40-60 days.
The new model gets an EURO4-compliant 110 bhp engine along with new rims and electronics The new Brutale 800 has been reshaped with minor cosmetic touches. The naked gets a split seat, retractable passenger grab handles, a new LED tail lamp, and compact LED indicators

The major change in the bike is the engine. The 798cc, three-cylinder engine now produces 110 bhp and torque remains same at 83 Nm . The engine also gets a new twin-injector per cylinder layout, that has been developed for noise suppression. The upgraded electronics include an improved Ride-by-Wire throttle, updated EAS2.0 (Electronically Assisted Shift up and down), a new dashboard that includes an on-board diagnostic (OBD) function that is integrated to the dash.

As far as the braking is concerned, the bike has a dual, 320mm Brembo disc brakes in the front, gripped by four-piston calipers and a single, 220mm disc brake at the rear, gripped by a twin-piston caliper. The bike also gets a BOSCH Dual Channel ABS, with rear lift-up mitigation.

The bike also has a new steering damper with eight levels of manual adjustment. Going for the suspension, the bike gets a 43mm Marzocchi inverted telescopic forks with rebound-compression damping and spring preload adjustment front suspension and a Sachs monoshock rebound compression damping, spring preload adjustment with 124mm travel. The tires are the same as the earlier ones, Michelin’s 120/70 up front and a wider 180/55 in the rear.
Brutale 800 India Price and Launch
The bike has been launched in India at a spectacular price tag of Rs. 15.59 Lakhs. All though far ahead of its rival, MV also takes a large sum as a premium.
