MV Agusta F4 RC is a thing of beauty and this is as exotic as it gets with timeless styling and signature racing decals
It has been some really fascinating couple of days for Indian motorcycling enthusiasts. Ducati brought the 1299 Superleggera to India and that was a surprise. Now, MV Agusta has joined its neighbour and brought its flagship superbike, the MV Agusta F4 RC to India at a price tag of Rs.50.35 lakhs. This means that this MV is among the most expensive motorcycles in this part of the world. Of the total of only 250 units to be build for the public, only one has been allocated to India and that makes it bit more special that it already is.
The F4 RC, where RC stands for Reparto Corse, is the lighter and faster version of the F4, and uses exotic materials in order to shed weight to just 175kg, dry. A few kgs were shed by the use of magnesium covers for a few engine parts, while there are 11 carbon-fibre parts and a total 333 titanium bolts that further shed them kgs. Even the F4 RC’s crankshaft is lighter than the other F4 versions.
Then there are those gorgeous forged aluminium wheels which a lighter too. Ohlins NIX 30 forks with adjustments for spring-preload, compression and damping up front handles track specific duties. At the rear, Ohlins TTX 36 shock absorber which allows adjustment for compression and rebound damping gives the front suspension a pretty good companionship.
The F4 RC in its tamed ‘for road’ spec makes about 205Ps at 13600rpm and the peak torque arrives at 9600rpm in the form of 111Nm. However, this being a track focused edition, MV would happily sell you the race kit that increases power to an insane 212 and you basically have a proper WSBK (almost) ready race bike. A dedicated Magneti Marelli ECU along with the Termignoni exhaust lends the race spec version its insanity.
What else do you need?
