2017 Toyota Fortuner TRD Sportivo is cosmetic enhances to make the butch car look sporty and appealing to customers
The all new Toyota Fortuner TRD Sportivo was spotted for the very first time in India and it has already reached various dealerships across the country. The Fortuner has always been a popular choice from in the premium SUV segment and has been doing great since its launch.
In order to boost its sales and keep it running successfully, Toyota has decided to introduce the Fortuner TRD Sportivo edition soon. The new edition is priced at 31.1 lakhs. The Fortuner Sportivo will mainly get visual makeover and will continue to be powered in existing engine options. The big bold SUV now gets a new blacked out front grille with red TRD badge on it.
The upcoming Fortuner Sportivo will be the second sporty model from Toyota after the Innova Touring Sport. The new edition also gets blacked out fog lamps housing and newly designed skirting. The TRD graphics on the side extends all the way to the rear bumper, adding a sporty element to the SUV along with the new black and silver finished alloy wheels.
As for the interior, it gets all black upholstery with red stitching. The vehicle also gets TRD Sportivo highlights on the door sills,seats and mats. As mentioned above mechanically it will continue to be powered in petrol and diesel engine options.
The petrol version will continue with the 2.7-litre engine which churns out 162 bhp and 245 Nm of peak torque, while the diesel engine gets a 2.8-litre engine which generates 175 bhp and 450 Nm of peak torque. Transmission duties for the TRD Sportivo will be carried out by a six speed manual or a six speed automatic gearbox depending on the model you select. There is also an AWD system in place.
The TRD kit will only be available in 2.8 diesel automatic 4X2 variant and that too only in white color. The new model is priced a lakh over the top of the line model, putting it in contention with the Audi O3, BMW X1 and the Mercedes Benz GLA at Rs. 31.1 Lakhs ex-showroom Delhi.
