2017 Yamaha SCR950 is going to be the next best heritage motorcycles from the brand and a fitting reply to the newly growing heritage motorcycles worldwide
Yamaha is on a worldwide offensive when it comes to launching motorcycles one after the other. It has filled every segment with their motorcycles launches over the past three years, the motorcycles that have been launched now are a collaboration between Star Motorcycles and are based on the bolt Platform. The Street series has been realigned and now they are called as Sports Heritage Line. The cool looking scramblers seen here is the SCR950. After launching motorcycles such as the SR400, Refreshed VMAX and modern XSR900, this SCR950 is purely an old school take. Let’s look at the details.
2017 Yamaha SCR950 Design and colors
Available in two Colors such as Charcoal Silver and Rapid Red it doesn’t need more colors to look extremely soothing to the eyes. Yamaha has nailed the design and livery used which directly takes back in time. The huge exhaust, the detailing on exhaust pipes, the round side panels, gators on the forks, round headlight, spoke wheels, long and large seat and every other detail shouts loud that this is something from the past and yet has modern engineering beneath it.
2017 Yamaha SCR950 Chassis, suspension and brakes
This segment of motorcycles gets the usual dual cradle chassis, with the suspension being, front telescopic forks and dual sided shocks that are gas charged at the rear. There is belt drive seen here, which makes it trouble-free transmission for very long rides. Brakes wise, we see petal disc on both ends. Sadly single disc is seen at the front, but since its petal it should give more powerful stopping.
