2018 Karizma ZMR comes with a BSIV engine and slight cosmetic changes
Back in the year 2003, Hero MotoCorp (Hero Honda back then) launched the Karizma and took the Indian market by a storm. This was Hero’s first premium motorcycle as years passed on there was need of change and so was the Karizma R launched in 2007. With the growing a demand and the customer feedback a fully faired version of it was awaited and so did the Karizma ZMR was first launched in India back in 2009.
The last update the Karizma ZMR received was in 2014, after which the sales number of this bike started falling down. Last year, Hero MotoCorp decided to stop selling the Karizma ZMR as it was not receiving a good response in the market. Also, after the implication of the BS-IV engine norms, Hero failed to comply it for this bike and hence it is one of the reasons for pulling back the Karizma ZMR from the market.
Now, according to the website we get to know that Hero MotoCorp will again bring back the Karizma ZMR in the Indian market. The launch dates have not been revealed but it is suggested to happen soon and it will be launched with two variants and it will be priced up to Rs 1.10 lakh.
Hero MotoCorp have still not made any official announcement regarding the launch of the Karizma ZMR. But if we have a look at the company’s website, details of the variant with a dual tone have been showcased. It is assumed that the single tone version will be priced at Rs 1.08 lakh, whereas the dual tone version will be priced at Rs 1.10 lakh
Powering the 2018 Karizma ZMR will be the 223cc petrol engine which produces 20 bhp at 8000 rpm and 19.7Nm of twist at 6500 rpm. The 2018 Karizma ZMR gets a 15.3-litre fuel tank and it can achieve a maximum speed of 129 kmph. Soon the Karizma ZMR will be available in all the dealerships across the country.
