2018 KTM RC 390 Spied – Expect Improvements, Not Changes

2018 KTM RC 390 has been seen here in these pictures and we expect an RC200 to be seen soon. Expect price jump and minor improvements

KTM is getting ready for the year 2018. A year which promises cutthroat competition from all its rivals. Yamaha YZF R3 and Ninja 400 are on their way and a new Benelli has shown up as well. Existing manufacturer also has plans specifically to target these KTM Rc series of bikes as well. Here, KTM is seen shipping 2018 model of the motorcycles to the showrooms. Expect an official announcement to follow but don’t keep your hopes high.Let’s dive into the details.

2018 KTM RC 390 Design and Dimensions

There are almost zero changes visible from here. The graphics and livery stay the same. Orange white and a hint of black can be seen. Decals remain the same as well. The twin-pod headlight at the front along with sharp tail-lamp is almost visible in these pictures. The seat which also looks like the cowl continues to be the highlight.

2018 KTM RC 390 Chassis, suspension and brakes

Expect the same trellis frame and wheels and tyres on the bike. 150 section tyre at the rear and a 110 section at the front. The pattern in these pictures do not match what was seen earlier. These could be the H rated Metezelers that have been launched earlier for a cheaper price. Brakes are going to be the same which is a brand new 320 mm disc at the front and 240 mm disc brake at the rear. Front forks look DLC coated in these pictures and could be the only change. This is speculative because of the poor quality of pictures.

2018 KTM RC 390 Price and Launch

KTM sources tell us the price should increase by Rs 1,500 to Rs 2,000. The launch should within a couple of weeks.

2018 KTM RC 390 Engine And Specification

We expect it to have 44 PS of power and 36 Nm of torque as the earlier bike. Introduction of the slipper clutch, ride by wire throttle and then everything remains the same when it comes to the engine which is now a BSIV compliant motor.
