The new safety regulation norms have come as an opportunity for many bike manufacturers to upgrade their products. Indian two-wheeler maker Bajaj Auto is utilizing this occasion to not only upgrade the braking system but also to introduce a slew of design changes on bikes. Take, for instance, the Bajaj CT 110, the entry-level bike which has recently received a new combi-brake system in accordance with new safety norms.

In addition, Bajaj has also added very functional knee pads on bike which will help the rider to have a firm grip while riding. The bike has also received a new larger seat for improved seating comfort. The cushion of the seat has also been bolstered to provide better support and body graphics have been revised for the improved look of the bike. Another functional touch added by the company is larger rear view mirrors which inspire confidence while stalks have received rubber cover for enhancing their functional longevity.

However, the most important change comes in the form of the new engine which now displaces 115cc and features a single-cylinder, air-cooled configuration. The ignition technology is Bajaj’s patented DTS-i and although the company is yet to release output figures, the same motor in Platina H-gear puts out 8.6bhp along with 9.81Nm. The engine will be mated to a 4-speed gearbox. The engine is BS4 compliant for now. The 2019 Bajaj CT110 ASD will compete against Hero CD Dream 110 and HF Deluxe, TVS Sport, and Yamaha Saluto RX.
