2019 Gixxer SF150 falls in the line of the Gixxer SF250 and gets new design. The motorcycle comes at a price hike which is minor
Suzuki has updated the model with a host of cosmetic changes, which is known as the 2019 Gixxer SF150 . In the Indian market, Gixxer SF is pitted against the likes of Yamaha Fazer and comparison of their sales number reveals that Suzuki needs to carry the momentum forward.
Suzuki after a comprehensive analysis of the shortcomings has now come up with 2019 Gixxer SF150 which includes a number of exterior changes although mechanically, the bike continues to remain the same. In terms of external changes, Suzuki has introduced an all-new black paint scheme on the bike which looks quite attractive and suits its demeanor. On the rear, mudguard positioning has changed to swing arm which is reminiscent of what Bajaj has done in the case of Pulsar NS 200.
The most noticeable change for the 2019 Gixxer SF150, however, is the incorporation of split-seat design which makes the bike feels sportier than before. The fuel tank has also got a new muscular design while new decals on fairings have now replaced older ones. Up front, the company seems to have incorporated a new LED headlamp which provides much necessary machismo to the character of the bike.
There is no change in engine and gearbox for the 2019 Gixxer SF150 very likely. The 150cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine continues to power Gixxer SF150 with a rated output of 14.1 bhp @8000 rpm and 14 Nm @6000 rpm. The engine uses a fuel-injection system and comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox to meet emission norms for the 2019 Gixxer 150 SF. Suspension duties at the front and rear are handled by telescopic forks and monoshock suspension respectively. Both front and rear wheel are equipped with disc brake and single channel ABS system is available on the bike. The motorcycle has been priced at RS. 1.09 lakhs ex-showroom.
