The RAPID Monte Carlo will be introduced at an attractive ex-showroom price of INR 11.16 lacs nationwide taking forward the ‘One Nation. One Price.’ philosophy. Being a ŠKODA, it comes with a plethora of ‘Simply Clever’ details that enhance the driving experience. The RAPID Monte Carlo will be available across all authorized ŠKODA dealership in the country in exclusive Flash Red colour scheme.
The black ŠKODA signature grille, gloss black mirrors and quartz-cut projector headlights (with chrome eyelashes) and LED daytime running lights embrace clean cuts and modern crystalline appearance. The black design elements underline the assertive and the dynamic appearance of the new ŠKODA offering. The dual tone 16” Clubber alloy wheels with glossy black bolt covers, the glossy black décor on the B pillars with MONTE CARLO flag badge, the black roof foil, the black tailgate spoiler and the black grained sporty diffuser accentuate the sporty and the glamorous character of the ŠKODA RAPID Monte Carlo.
The interiors has a three-spoke SuperSport flat-bottom multifunction steering wheel and the gear knob come with black perforated leather and red decorative stitching. The plush Monte Carlo leatherette seat upholstery with grey vertical stripes combine great aesthetics with premium comfort. The ribbed stainless steel foot pedals and scuff plates with ‘MONTE CARLO’ inscription further add to the overall sporty experience. The piano black center console and the abundant chrome décor complement the interiors perfectly.
A 6.5-inch colour touchscreen Central Infotainment System in the RAPID Monte Carlo is equipped with SmartLink™ technology (the ŠKODA connectivity bundle supporting MirrorLink®, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto) which mirrors the smartphone for seamless connectivity and undistracted drive; besides supporting Aux-in, USB, and Bluetooth options.
The Climatronic air conditioning technology, along with adjustable dual rear AC vents, make the car your utopia of comfort and indulgence. The RAPID Monte Carlo surprises you with an intelligent Rain Sensing Wiper system, the intuitive technology activates itself on detecting rain and adjusts the wiper’s frequency. The built-in cruise control, a multifunctional display, height and length adjustable steering wheel, adjustable headrests and foldable armrests, tinted windows and windscreen, rear view camera and leading leg room make the RAPID Monte Carlo even more compelling.
ŠKODA offers safety features like dual airbags and ABS as standard across its product portfolio. The standard safety and security equipment on the RAPID Monte Carlo include a wide range of features, such as the ABS (Anti-lock Braking System), five three-point seatbelts and dual airbags. In addition, ESC (Electronic Stability Control) is available on the DSG variant and HHC (Hill Hold Control) is available on both AT Petrol and AT Diesel variants.
The Monte Carlo will come with the 1.5L TDI diesel engine and the 1.6L MPI petrol engine from the ŠKODA RAPID model range. The 1.5 litre TDI produces 110PS (81kW) of power and torque output of 250 Nm while delivering fuel efficiency of 21.72 kmpl (DSG) and 21.13 kmpl (MT). The 1.6 litre MPI or Multi Point Injection engine is at the core of the RAPID Monte Carlo petrol variant. With 16 valves Dual Over-Head Camshaft (DOHC), it delivers 105 PS (77kW) of power and a peak torque output of 153Nm while delivering fuel efficiency figures of 15.41 kmpl (MT) and 14.84 kmpl (AT).
The RAPID Monte Carlo boasts of a 460L boot space and other intelligent storage solutions with cooled glove box compartment, a black waste bin for the front door pocket, storage compartment under the front center armrest and cup holders in the front as well as the rear.
