Another Bajaj bike making to the list of BS6 compliant models is the Pulsar 180F Neon which has started reaching the dealerships ahead of its formal launch. The 2020 BS6 Bajaj Pulsar 180F Fi has been priced at Rs 1.07 lakh and compared to the outgoing model, this BS6 version is costlier by around Rs 11,500. Just so you know, Bajaj replaced the Pulsar 180 with 180 Neon last year and now the model has got its BS6 upgrade.
The upgrades to the 2020 BS6 Bajaj Pulsar 180F Fi engine involve the addition of the fuel-injection system, a larger catalytic converter, and an ECU for cleaner emissions. A small drop in the performance figures is likely as the bike makes a transition from a carburetor to fuel injection technology. The BS4 version of the Bike comes powered by a 178 cc engine capable of putting out 17 bhp and 14 Nm of max power and max torque respectively. The engine is a single-cylinder air-cooled unit featuring a 4-valve arrangement and comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
There won’t be any cosmetic or mechanical changes on the bike which means the 2020 BS6 Bajaj Pulsar 180F Fi will continue to don similar styling and graphics as the outgoing model. Suspension duties will be handled by telescopic front forks and gas-charged rear shock absorbers. Braking is via discs (both front and rear) and to make things effective, a single-channel ABS system comes as a standard part of the equipment.
