In order to comply with upcoming mission norms, the 2020 BS6 Bajaj Pulsar RS200 is here. The price of the updated model is Rs 1, 43,750 (ex-showroom Mumbai) and the new version is expected to reach the dealerships later this month. In terms of price hike, the BS6 version of RS 200 is marginally costlier than the BS4 version as the price difference between the two variants is just Rs 1,632.
Bajaj has tweaked the engine of Pulsar RS 200 to meet the stricter standards set by the BS6 norms. In its BS4 version, the 199.5cc liquid-cooled engine of RS 200 uses fuel-injection technology and puts out 24.5PS and 18.6Nm of max power and max torque respectively. Apart from some minor changes in the power train, the rest of the mechanical and suspension hardware will similar to the outgoing model.
This essentially means that 2020 BS6 Bajaj Pulsar RS200 will come with a perimeter frame, front forks and rear monoshock suspension, and dual-channel ABS system. The design and styling of the bike will remain unchanged as twin projector headlamps, semi-digital instrument cluster, and an LED tail lamp will continue to be part of the new Pulsar RS 200. Once officially launched, the new BS6 Pulsar RS 200 will take on the likes of KTM RC 200 and Yamaha Fazer 25 among others.
