BS6 Kawasaki Versys 1000 has been launched silently in the Indian market. The manufacturer earlier launched the 2019 version with a bang as it cut prices by Rs. 2.0 lakhs over the previous 2017 version that has been replaced by this new generation unit. Kawasaki did this by localizing parts which made it very lucrative in the Indian market. The manufacturer now has launched the BS6 Kawasaki Versys 1000 version which is now Rs 30,000 expensive over the previous version.
This means that the Kawasaki Versys 1000 is still cheaper by 1.7 lakhs over the previous generation and packs a lot more equipment than before. LED Lights, slipper clutch, revised engine with more power and torque throughout the rev range. Electronics include traction control, ABS, cornering management function, two power modes and a five axis IMU.
BKawasaki Versys 1000 is claimed to be a ideal highway companion with adequate power (20 PS less over the Ninja 1000 which has touring capability). The BS6 Kawasaki Versys 1000 can do a bit more off-road and is well equipped in that aspect. BS6 Kawasaki Versys 1000 continues to same and has been criticized for its bulky and busy styling over all its peers.
