2020 KTM Duke 250 Updated model is here with a small change even after the big BS6 avatar change seen in April 2020. According to the latest news, the bike will be priced at Rs 2.09 lakh which will be an increase of Rs 4,000 over the outgoing version. Just so you know, KTM initially launched BS6 250 Duke at a price of Rs 2 lakh but later on increase the price to Rs 2.05 lakh.
2020 KTM Duke 250 Updated Model will come in the form of a full-LED headlamp. Until now, the bike comes equipped with halogen headlamp with LED DRLs. Given the affairs of high competition in the 250cc bike category, this is seen as a proactive step taken by the company to maintain its lead over rival propositions. With LED headlamp, 250 Duke will join ranks with the likes of 390 Duke and 390 Adventure as latter bikes come with full-fledged LED headlights.
Except for headlamp, there isn’t any change on the 250 Duke. The bike will continue to feature an LCD instrument cluster and the engine unit will be the same single-cylinder, 248.8 cc, liquid-cooled engine capable of putting out 30 bhp of raw power. The gearbox is a 6-speed unit and dual-channel ABS is part of the standard equipment. The motorcycle also gets a supermoto mode which we saw in the BS6 update. It is quite interesting to witness that in recent months we have seen competition surging in the 250 cc category.
The addition of an LED headlamp to the 250 Duke enhances its value and make it even more attractive for prospective buyers. This is in addition to the fact that 250 Duke continues to remain the most powerful bike in its segment which is a huge plus to its appeal. Overall, the rising competition is good for the overall growth of the premium bike category and as bikers migrate from budget category to premium category, more options will help them to make a decent choice.
