Under the hood of the 2020 Skoda Superb Facelift India version is a BS6 compliant, 2.0-litre TSi turbo-petrol engine that has replaced the BS4-compliant 1.8-litre TSi petrol motor. The new mill makes 190bhp and 3201Nm of torque and is mated to a 7-speed DSG dual-clutch automatic. Yes, the gearbox has been carried over from the previous-gen model.
Skoda has planned to serve only petrol variant for India, no diesel variant will be available. Alongside the Octavia RS, BS6 Rapid and the Karoq, Skoda will put a sticker price of Rs 25.99 lakh to 30.99 lakh, a slight price hike compared to the outgoing model is expected.
