2020 Volkswagen T-Roc Cabriolet pre-sales now get underway in germany. The open-top variant of the successful crossover T-Roc embodies a concept that is unique in the compact class: the raised seating position of an SUV, a strikingly extrovert design and the open-air feel of a convertible. On top of this, the 2020 Volkswagen T-Roc Cabriolet features the latest generation of infotainment. Enhanced comfort is ensured by numerous assistance systems, some of which are optional. Prices for the new compact CUV start at €27,495 with the 1.0 TSI 85 kW/115 PS and 6-speed manual gearbox.
“Accept no roof!” – this is the slogan that marks the market launch of the 2020 Volkswagen T-Roc Cabriolet, making a direct reference to the new car’s key element: its soft top. This is fully automatic as standard, opening in just nine seconds. It can open and close even while the car is in motion, at speeds of up to 30 km/h. The soft top unlocks and locks electro-hydraulic.
2020 Volkswagen T-Roc Cabriolet is available in two equipment lines:the design-oriented “Style“ and the sports-oriented “R-Line“. In the “Style” line, the 2+2-seater already boasts an extensive range of standard features. These include 17-inch Mayfield alloy wheels, background lighting in white, various interior and exterior chrome features, air conditioning system, Lane Assist (lane keeping system), Front Assist (autonomous emergency braking), the Driver Alert System and the Infotainment system Composition, as well as two USB-C ports at the front and a mobile phone interface.
“R-Line” equipment starts at €32,810. In addition to the R-Line features for the exterior and interior, it also features darkened tail light clusters, a sports running gear, 17-inch Kulmbach alloy wheels, progressive steering, sport comfort seats at the front, and driving mode selection.
Two efficient petrol turbo engines (TSI) with an output of 85 kW/115 PS and 110 kW/150 PS respectively are available for the front-wheel drive T-Roc Cabriolet. A standard feature of the 1.0-litre three-cylinder engine with 85 kW is the manual six-speed gearbox (only with the Style equipment line). In the more powerful 1.5-litre four-cylinder with 110 kW, the option of a seven-speed dual clutch gearbox is available in addition.
Another option for the 2020 Volkswagen T-Roc Cabriolet is the Black Style design package, available from a surcharge of €550. In this package, selected vehicle elements are finished in an elegant black. These include the trim strip in the radiator grille and the exterior mirror housing. The 18-inch Grange Hill alloy wheels are also finished in black and have a high sheen surface.
2020 Volkswagen T-Roc Cabriolet is functional, too: if the 280-litre luggage compartment volume happens to be insufficient, the T-Roc Cabriolet can be equipped with a removable mounting bracket for €775, enabling bulkier items to be transported as well.
