2021 Bajaj Pulsar 180 Naked Launched – F Discontinued – Hornet 2.0 Rival

Bajaj Auto is gearing has reintroduced the Pulsar 180 Roadster for the 2021 model year, and Thrust Zone had exclusive pictures of the upcoming offering, ahead of its launch two weeks ago. The all-new model was discontinued in 2018 and was replaced by the Pulsar 180F in the brand’s line-up. However, the model has made a come back in the affordable version and will take on the TVS Apache RTR 180, Honda Hornet 2.0 and the likes in the segment. The 2021 Bajaj Pulsar 180 Naked version is priced at Rs 1,07,904/- (ESR Delhi).

The 2021 Bajaj Pulsar 180 Roadster looks identical to the classic Pulsar design with a more bold paint job, while the headlamp cluster seems to have received a mild revision. The other big change is the new semi-digital instrument console that was first introduced on the Pulsar 220F and has made its way on the Pulsar 180 Roadster too. The new unit gets a blue backlit, side-stand indicator, service reminder, distance to empty, fuel efficiency indicator, and more.

The 2021 Bajaj Pulsar 180 Roadster will replace the 180F in the company’s line-up. It seems the latter did not get the favourable response Bajaj was looking for. Meanwhile, the Apache RTR 180 continues to be a consistent seller in the segment. Bajaj might have decided to fight the price point well with its good old naked version which undercuts both its rivals.

Mechanically, the new Pulsar 180 is identical to the BS6 bike. Power comes from the same 178.6 cc single-cylinder, air-cooled motor with fuel injection. The motor is tuned for 17PS and 14.52 Nm of peak torque. Other cycle parts include telescopic front forks, gas-charged twin shocks at the rear, disc brakes at either end with single-channel ABS and alloy wheels.
