2021 Range Rover BS6 Diesel Engine and RR Fifty LWB Prices Revealed

Land Rover India has introduced 2021 Range Rover BS6 Diesel Engine and RR Fifty LWB compliant diesel engines in its line-up. Both models were previously available only with a petrol heart finally gets the option of a diesel. Unlike the mass-market space, there is still ample demand for torquey diesel engines that offer more low-end power and better range over their petrol versions. This is truer with SUVs with the customer base inclined towards diesel engines in the segment. Prices now start at Rs. 1.08 crore for the Range Rover Sport S trim, going up to Rs. 1.72 crore for the HSE Autobiography trim. The Range Rover diesel line-up is priced from Rs. 1.97 crore and goes up to Rs. 4.09 crore for the SVAutobiography LWB.

The 2021 Land Rover Range Rover BS6 variant include the Sport variant, which gets the 3.0-litre diesel engine with BS6 compliance. The engine produces 300PS and 650Nm of peak torque and is paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission. The luxury SUV can sprint from 0-100 kmph in 8.5 seconds and has a top speed of 209 kmph. Compared to the petrol version, the Range Rover Sport diesel versions are priced at a premium of Rs. 39 lakh, while the range-topping HSE variants are offered only on the diesel variants.

On the other hand, the 2021 Range Rover BS6 Diesel Engine is priced the same as the petrol versions. All variants of the Range Rover get the option of a diesel. Power comes from the same 3.0-litre Ingenium motor that meets BS6 compliance and has been upgraded to meet Euro 6d compliance for European markets. The luxury SUV sprints from 0-100 kmph in 7.4 seconds, while the top speed is the same as the Range Rover Sport at 209 kmph. Both versions of the Range Rover are extremely loaded on the feature front and are nothing short of villas on wheels. The cars come to India as Completely Built Units (CBUs).

The feature list on the both the Range Rover and the Range Rover Sport include electrically adjustable seats, multi-zone climate control, leather upholstery and JLR’s latest dual Touch Pro Dual infotainment system. With the model year update, all models across the range get Apple CarPlay/Android Auto as standard as well as in-car WiFi capabilities for up to four devices. The SUVs also comes with the new Terrain Response 2 system and a host of other upgrades. The Range Rover line-up competes against the Mercedes-Benz GLS, BMW X7, Audi Q8, Bentley Bentayga as well as the upcoming Mercedes-Maybach GLS.
