Under the bonnet, the Tata Tiago NRG gets the 1.2-litre petrol engine that develops 86PS and 113Nm of peak torque, paired with the 5-speed manual and the AMT unit. The previous version got the 1.05-litre diesel as well, but the automaker discontinued this engine option on the Tiago with the BS6 update. The model will compete against the Renault Kwid and the Maruti Suzuki Celerio X. The latter though is will soon make way for the new-generation Celerio that’s scheduled to arrive later this year.
