2023 Mahindra Scorpio Getaway Pick-up could be launched this time around as it is always exported it to various markets in the world not sold domestically
Mahindra has a Getaway version for their popular SUV the Scorpio. A camouflaged test mule of the new Getaway is always spotted testing on the Mumbai-Pune expressway which, also, always looks almost production-ready. The new Scorpio Getaway Pick-up could finally come this time around and be based on the new-gen 2022 Scorpio. The latest Getaway will get similar exterior styling and cabin design. The front of the car will be identical to the new generation 2022 Mahindra Scorpio which has been on sale for over a decade.
Cosmetically, the alloy wheels, body-color ORVMs, door handles, and side profile will be identical to the original SUV. The latest 2022 Mahindra Scorpio Getaway Pick-up could come with the same cargo deck from the outgoing getaway and the taillights will be carried out from the original Scorpio which was launched earlier in 2002.
The cabin is said to be similar to the Scorpio’s SUV model with the same features like the dashboard layout, a new steering wheel, information display in the instrument cluster, and superior quality upholstery.
Scorpio fans out there will have to wait a bit more as there are still no such reports about when the 2022 Mahindra Scorpio Getaway Pick-up will be launched, but it is that the 2022 Mahindra Scorpio is expected to come later this year. The new model’s prices will be pushed up as it comes with new features and some cosmetic changes on the exterior.
The engine will be the same 2.2-liter diesel that will be shared with the outgoing Scorpio SUV model. The powertrain could churn out around between 120 and 140 bhp at 4,000 rpm and 280-340 Nm of peak torque at 1,800-2,800 rpm. Transmission duties will be handled by a 6-speed manual and automatic gearbox. The Getaway will also come with a 4WD as that will be the highlight of the SUV against its rivals.
