If the mid-size SUV continues to dominate launches in the last two years, the compact SUV segment is about to witness a big change as well. The launch of the Kia Sonet Facelift is happening in early 2024 and today it has been spied. Mahindra XUV 300 will be updated around the same time too. The Kia Sonet has had a big advantage when it comes to features list, powertrain options and unique design as well that grabs the eye immediately. Kia will do a small refresh for the same inside-out and offer more features and similar powertrain. The powertrain changes will be minimum but impactful as these engines are now BS6 Phase 2.0 compliant and there will be change in behaviour, performance and fuel economy.
The big highlight we assume is going to be the introduction of ADAS to this SUV. The Nexon and XUV 300 are also set to get this sooner or later, Kia might do it first as the Seltos is already launched with ADAS. Drive modes, traction modes, sunroof, a big touch screen of around 10 inches and new cluster will be a part of the big changes in list. iMT, DCT and manual gearbox will be offered with N/A, turbo petrol and diesel engines. In terms of design, the vertical tail-lamp, a sleek LED DRL at the front are visible. Alloys are new for the 2024 Kia Sonet. The rear witnesses a Seltos facelifted style LED light bar from one side to the other. Stay tuned for details on the same.
