Toyota is testing its ninth-generation Camry sedan in India and the model will likely go on sale early next year. A test mule of the next-gen Camry was recently caught testing under heavy camouflage. The test mule was under almost complete wraps although its proportions and design language are already since its global reveal. The rear portion of the new Camry was found to be sleeker than before and the frontage might derive its inspiration from the Crown series of Toyota.
The interiors will feature first-rate quality with a large touchscreen infotainment system, digital instrument cluster, automatic climate control, and ventilated seats are expected to be on offer in the new Camry. Toyota will also equip the sedan with ADAS features and like before, the rear seat will retain its ultra-spacious characteristic to offer the utmost comfort and convenience to occupants. The boot space will also be among the class-leading and should easily swallow luggage for the entire weeklong journeys.

The production of the new Camry model will start in early 2025. It will continue to compete against the Skoda Superb in India. The Camry will also remain on sale in China as sedans there enjoy quite a big appeal among consumers. It’s important to note that Toyota has already shelved Camry in Japan but given the huge popularity the sedan enjoys in the US, the company has decided to continue the sell the model there. In India if the Lexus ES can be localized heavily, this can be too. Expect a great price and with hybrid tax exemptions in some states.
