We’ve got our first look at the 2025 RE Himalayan 650 ! Of all the Royal Enfield models to be produced, the Himalayan 650 is one of the most exciting ones. This affordable, single-cylinder-powered touring car has been in demand by enthusiasts for a while now, and it looks like their prayers may soon be answered.

These spy shots clearly show the air/oil-cooled, 648cc, single-cylinder engine of the Royal Enfield mid-range ADV motorcycle. What sets it apart from the other RE 650cc bikes currently on sale is that it’s a two-in-one exhaust. This makes the Himalayan 650 the second motorcycle in the RE 650 series to use twin cylinders after the initial launch of the Interceptor 650. We don’t expect the power figures to deviate too much from the 47 PS/52 Nm on offer. The other 650cc Royal Enfields, the design and materials may vary but what’s new about the Royal Enfield Himalayan 650 is that it uses dual front disc brakes, the first motorcycle in India to use this feature. We can also spot the USD forks.

Like the Himalayan 450, the 2025 RE Himalayan 650 also features a Tripper TFT display and integrated stop light indicator. The split seat and rear handle also resemble a mini Himalayan. The Himalayan 650’s rail and fuel tank are also similar to the Himalayan 450. Unlike the Himalayan 450, it has a big 21-inch front wheel. While the Himalayan 450 is capable of off-roading, Royal Enfield may have designed the 650 for on-road use, considering the weight it carries due to the twin-cylinder engine. Most ADVs with this setup in the market today come with 19/17-inch wheels, so the Himalayan 650 is likely to follow that trend and stay an ADV tourer. The 411 Scram could take a bigger role in off-roading in the future. Stay tuned as more details will come over the duecourse of time as the launch is very far away.
