The Tata Tiago NRG has received a refresh for 2025, featuring subtle design tweaks, the discontinuation of the entry-level variant, and an array of new features. This rugged cross-hatch iteration of the Tiago is now priced between Rs 7.2 lakh and Rs 8.75 lakh, depending on the chosen powertrain. It’s important to note that there are no changes under the hood for the NRG.
Tata Motors has phased out the entry-level Tiago NRG XT trim, which was offered only with a petrol-manual option. The Tiago NRG is now exclusively available in the top-tier XZ variant, encompassing all four engine and gearbox options: 86hp petrol-manual, 86hp petrol-AMT, 73hp CNG-manual, and 73hp CNG-AMT. Overall, the NRG’s pricing is approximately Rs 30,000 higher than that of the equivalent Tiago variants.
While the Tiago NRG stands alone in its segment, its pricing overlaps with higher trims of competitors like the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios (priced from Rs 5.98 lakh to 8.62 lakh) and the Maruti Wagon R (ranging from Rs 5.65 lakh to 7.48 lakh).
For 2025, the Tiago NRG showcases exterior enhancements such as new silver skid plates on the redesigned bumpers and updated 15-inch wheel covers for the steel wheels. Distinct features that set the NRG apart from the standard Tiago include robust black plastic body cladding along the sides, thick black roof rails, and a dedicated NRG badge on the tailgate.
### 2025 Tata Tiago NRG Interior and Features
The interior largely mirrors that of the Tiago XZ trim, boasting notable features such as a 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen equipped with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a rearview camera, auto headlights and wipers, and a digital instrument cluster. These enhancements were recently rolled out across the Tiago lineup. Unlike the standard hatchback, the NRG sports an all-black interior, diverging from the dual-tone beige and grey theme of its counterpart.
However, when compared to the Tiago XZ, the NRG lacks certain features like LED DRLs, fog lamps, and an automatic climate control system. It’s worth mentioning that the standard Tiago hatchback offers an even higher XZ+ trim, which includes additional conveniences such as cruise control, a tyre pressure monitor, and a rear wiper.
