2017 Honda CD100 DX BSIV complies with the new norms, there are four variants on sale to choose from

Every manufacturer is rolling out BSIV motorcycles and scooter as we speak over the last four month. The government decided to bring in BSIV emission norms in April 2017 and told the manufacturer to get ready since February 2016. The manufacturer complied and tried their best but there were stocks left around the country. However, some motorcycles already have been BSIV compliant in the country and some of them belong to Honda. The 2017 Honda CD100 DX BSIV has been silently introduced in the country and we have all the details on the same.

Honda CD100 DX BSIV Design and Dimensions

When it comes to the styling of the bike, it remains the same as it was in the past. A typical Japanese commuter with minimalist panels all around. The slim fuel tank, the long exhaust, the square headlamp and the large 17-inch alloy wheel are all here as before. Color schemes have changed and now we see white along with blue, green, red and silver.

Honda CD100 DX BSIV Chassis, suspension and brakes

The same diamond single down tube chassis can be seen. Telescopic forks at the front and rear hydraulic 5-step adjustable shocks are here. Both sides have drum brakes. There is no disc on offer. Tyre size at the front and rear is 80/100-18 and they are tubeless as well.

Launched in April 2017, the prices are ex-showroom Delhi as below for all variants.

2017 Honda CD100 DX BSIV Engine And Specification

The motor is now a BSIV compliant and is HET equipped as well. The 109cc motor now makes 8.31 BHP of power and 9.09 Nm of torque from its air-cooled 2-valve engine. The engine is mated to an 4-speed gearbox. Compression ratio stands at 9.9:1. The top-speed is rated at 86 km/hr.
