TVS Motor Company launches the upgraded version of the very popular Scooty Zest in the country with new paint schemes
TVS Motor Company is trying to keep up with the change in Indian society as the scooter group is fast growing segment with 26 percent and is said to increase upto 30%. TVS Motor Company has launched the upgraded variant of its popular scooter, the Scooty Zest. The scooter is now BSIV complaint and features AHO. Along wit this, TVS has introduced some seriously cool looking matte color scheme for the scooter. Let’s dig into more details.
2017 TVS Scooty Zest Design and Dimensions
Unlike its predecessor the new Zest is a lot bolder, stylish and even powerful. The scooter gets side panels with revised accents, along with a fancy rear end which now comes with new LED tail-light indicators which go quite well with the body shape of the scooter. The matching beige seats with all colors accentuates further how cool the Zest now looks. 8 exciting colour options which include Turquoise Blue, Pearl Peach, Powerful Pink and Citrus Orange in the standard variant are also part of the list.

The new scooter is available at a price of 50,448(ex-showroom Mumbai) and launched in the month of May 2017.
2017 TVS Scooty Zest BSIV Engine And Specification
The zippy and light weight scooter is powered by a 109.7cc, four stroke, air-cooled CVTi engine which produces 7.91 bhp of power and 8.7 Nm of peak torque. The engine comes mated to a CVT transmission. Scooty Zest offer a mileage of 62 km per litre.
2017 TVS Scooty Zest Chassis, suspension and brakes
Suspension duties of the scooter are carried by telescopic forks at the front and monoshock at the rear. The scooter weighs around 97 kg with a low seat height of 760 mm and has tighter turning radius which helps maneuver the scooter easily. Chassis is the similar underbone type unit as other stable mates, but heavily revised. Front and rear drum brakes, a 110 mm one at the front and 130 mm one at the rear is provided.

For now, it gets AHO but there is no CBS or disc brake on offer. The instrument cluster is finished in white and is back lit, with a larger speedometer, an odometer and a fuel gauge. The scooter also carries USB charger and has a 19-litre underseat storage and an open glovebox at the front for increasing the load carrying capacity. The seat is now wider and longer which adds to the comfort of the rider and pillion.
