Ford Endeavour Manual Transmission discontinued in India Due To high demand of automatic and low for manual

Ford Endeavour, the SUV available in India, has recently discontinued in India. There isn’t any official announcement yet, but the manual transmission models have been taken off from the website. The second-gen car has been launched in India in 2016 and since then, the car has been a huge success for the company and is in direct competition with Toyota Fortuner, Isuzu MU-X, and the Volkswagen Tiguan.

If you visit the Ford India website, it shows only three variants; the 2.2L 4×2 Trend AT, 2.2L 4×2 Titanium AT and the 3.2L 4×4 Titanium AT and the downloadable brochures are only for the above three models.

At first, the 2.2L 4×2 Trend MT was discontinued, followed by the 2.2L 4×4 Trend MT and the 3.2L 4×4 Trend MT variants. This had to be done because of the lack of demand of these variants. Otherwise, The Fortuner continues to sell in both Manual Transmission and Automatic Transmission, whereas the Isuzu MU-X comes only in Automatic Transmission

The current prices of the Ford Endeavour start from 25.49 lakh rupees for the 2.2L 4×4 AT whereas for the top end variant, the 3.2L 4×4 Titanium AT, the prices start from 31.5 lakh rupees (Ex-showroom, Delhi).

All of these models will have the 6-speed gearbox and comes with ABS and airbags as standard. Ford has also started working on a facelift model of the Endeavour, with some design elements from the F-150 truck, which could also feature unlock request buttons on the door handles, an updated ACC (Adaptive Cruise Control) with autonomous emergency braking and much more. The updated car may arrive in India by late-2017 or early 2018. There isn’t any official update yet, but the car has been spied in the US, while testing.
