Supercar GST Prices and RTO charges on them have dropped making them register in the Maharashtra state to help boost RTO budgets
Auto companies are adjusting the prices of their products after the government came out with a new tax scheme known as good and service tax (GST). Supercar and luxury car buyers will now be in an advantage due to massive price cuts offered by the companies, joining the GST price reduction parade is the latest Lamborghini.
The term octroi no longer exists which has resulted in substantial fall in prices of luxury and performance cars. So, basically, the Lamborghini Aventador S will come with a price tag smaller by about a crore. A Lamborghini Aventador S, which carries an ex-showroom price of tag of INR. 5.01 crore will now be sold for INR. 5.21 crore (OTR) instead of INR. 6.23 crore (OTR).
Those who are willing to buy to buy a supercar or an ultra-luxury car will feel a pre-season festivity after the approval of GST.
However, the central government has capped the tax amount on the high-end CBUs at just RS. 20 lakh. With effect to this change,some of this cars coasting over RS. 5 crore will get cheaper by over Rs. 1 crore.
Previously the tax figure on luxury cars stood at 55% and now has been brought down to 43%, this huge dip in tax has resulted in the Aventador S being priced at INR. 5.21 crore significantly lower than its previous price.
The Lamborghini Huracan, which is sold at an ex-showroom price of INR. 2.99 crore, will now be available at INR. 3.19 crore (OTR) instead of INR. 3.72 crore. (OTR). The tax reduction has made way for many luxury car manufacturers to reduce prices, including Mercedes-Benz and Audi.
The new realigned prices offer great opportunity to expand the market and widen customer base. This is turning out to be a new and exciting phase for luxury car business in the country.
With the new tax system in effect, buyers will have to pay just 20 lakh above the amount including all taxes in Maharashtra. The prices mentioned above are the existing ex-showroom values.
