New 2017 Tata Tigor XM is the middle variant of the car which has been introduced to make sure it meets all demands of the customers
Tata Motors has launched a new variant of its compact sedan, the Tigor, now named as the Tigor XM. The Tigor XM is priced at Rs. 4.99 lakh for the petrol version and the diesel variant carries a price tag of of Rs. 5.80 lakh. All the prices are (ex-showroom Delhi). The price is 41,000 more than the base XE petrol and diesel trims. The newly launched Tata Tigor XM variant sits between the Tigor XE and the Tigor XT variant. As per the company the newly launched XM model will be available across all the dealerships in India from September 15 2017.
The Tata Tigor XM variant sits above the base XE variant and gets full wheel caps, fabric seat upholstery, basic music system with four speakers, Tata suite apps, LED fuel gauge, auto door locks, Follow me home headlamps, front and rear power windows as well as manual central locking.
The Tata Tigor XM trim of the compact sedan is available in Copper Dazzle, Espresso Brown, Pearlescent White, Platinum Silver, Striker Blue and Berry Red color schemes. The Tigor XM draws power from the existing 1.2-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engine. The petrol motor produces 84 bhp and 114 Nm of peak torque and the oil burner churns out 69 bhp and 140 Nm of peak torque. Both the engines are mated to 5-speed manual gearbox. The XM trim is not available in the AMT transmission option.
Tata Motors is now working on filing in spaces in each segment and Tigor XM is one their response to this very fast growing segment. As per the turn around strategy the company is is working with renewed focus and energy to improve the market share and bring products faster to markets. The Tigor XM will compete against the likes of the Volkswagen Ameo, Hyundai Xcent, Honda Amaze, Ford Aspire, and Maruti Suzuki Dzire.
