Mahindra Gusto RS Limited edition launched to cater the festive market season to make it stand out

The festive season is here and just to add more colors to this festive season, Mhaindra 2 Wheelers has silently introduced the Gusto RS edition in the country with new shades to choose from. The Gusto RS is priced at a very equitable price of Rs. 48,180 (ex-showroom Delhi). The RS version has been updated only aesthetically and not mechanically. The RS version though is only available for the 110 cc Gusto and not for the 125 cc variant.

Mahindra is offering Rs.6,000 cahsback on the purchase of the scooter via PayTM mall. the offer is valid from September 20 to October 20. Interested buyers hurry up as the stocks are limited. The scooter features dual paint scheme. Two color variants are available- Red and White, as well as Blue and White with body graphics and RS badging. One can also book the scooter via Mahindra’s M2all.com website by paying a minimal token amount of Rs.999.

The Mahindra Gusto RS version sports a special paint job, which helps the scooter look a bit more sporty and honestly looks attractive and different from the single-tone option available with the standard model.

The underpinnings of the Mahindra Gusto RS is the same as the standard variant. The Gusto uses a 109.6 cc single cylinder engine which helps to make out 8 bhp at 7,500 rpm and 9 Nm of peak torque at 5,500 rpm. The engine is mated to a CVT unit. The suspension responsibilities for the scooter are taken car by Telescopic front fork and a hydraulic coil type rear monoshock. The scooter comes to a stand still position using 130mm brakes on both the ends. The 12-inch alloy wheels are shod with 90-section tubeless tyres and the Fuel tank capacity stands at 6 litres.

Mahindra scooters aren’t doing quite well in the Indian market since their launch and has failed to bring in large volumes in the highly competitive segment, whereas companies like Honda, TVS and Hero are pretty well settled with their offerings like Activa 4G by Honda, Jupiter by TVS and Maestro Edge by Hero in the country. Hence Mahindra has already announced that it will discontinue the mass segment products like scooters and commuter segment motorcycles and has discontinued all the other products except for Mojo.
