Hero XPulse200 and Xpulse200T are launched and come with fuel injection engines and feature loaded instrument cluster
At the 2018 EICMA motorcycle event held earlier this month, Hero revealed its plan to launch two variants of Xpulse in India – the Xpulse 200 and Xpulse 200T. And now, for the first time both the bikes have been spotted testing in production version. Let’s look at the details as the launch is done.
Just so you know, Xpulse 200 is a standard, adventure-focused model while the Xpulse 200T will target prospects looking for a comfortable, Scrambler touring bike. The Xpulse 200 gets windscreen, flat handlebar, handguard and dual purpose (90/90-21) Ceat tyres (120/80-18) at front and rear respectively. XPulse200T gets 100x80x17 and 130x70x17. There is 220mm of ground clearance on offer.
The Xpulse 200T features 30 mm less ground clearance than Xpulse to aid sportier riding and come with large luggage plate for heavy loading capabilities. Hero XPulse200 and XPulse200T 37mm front forks and 7-step adjustable rear monoshock.
Hero XPulse200 and XPulse200T get a Hero first fully digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity, USB below the seat and all fuel efficiency parameters displayed in a nice looking LCD screen. Both Xpulse 200 variants for now, will come powered by a 199.6 cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, fuel injected engine capable of 18.4bhp along with 17.1Nm of max torque.
The engine will get a 5-speed transmission and Hero is expected to tune the motor to extract maximum performance. XPulse 200 is priced at 97,000 for the carburetor variant and Rs 1.05 lakhs for the fuel injected version. The Xpulse200T carburetor is priced at Rs. 94,000. There is no fuel injection system on offer for the XPulse200T.
