Discounts On Dominar 400 ABS take the prices back to the original launch price of the motorcycle. Dealers confirm this story from multiple states
The effect of the price increase and discontinuing non-ABS version took a toll on sales of Bajaj Dominar with bike recording its lowest figure of 659 units in October. The sales for November are yet to be revealed. This is in the sharp contrast of 10,000 units of sales that management expected from Dominar while launching it in the market. Now in order to counter this dwindling number, Bajaj is offering a healthy discount of Rs 10,000 on the Dominar. The price raised in the last two years was Rs 12,000. The company is confident that this discount will get back the buyers and help it to achieve respectable figures. Bajaj is also working on to bring a comprehensive facelift of the Dominar in 2019. One of the many reasons for discounts.
Pitted against the Royal Enfield Classic 350, Bajaj Dominar was launched among all flair and frenzy. At the launch, the company was confident that Dominar would even have the capacity to become a billion-dollar brand within two years. Alas! That didn’t happen. A quick comparison of the September 2018 divulged that even the sales of Royal Enfield Himalayan (1,140 units) were more than that of Dominar (1,095 units). Bajaj has positioned Dominar against RE 350 which has an average monthly sale of around 45,000 units.
Bajaj Dominar was the first motorcycle in the country to feature LED headlamp.
It came with an impressive stance with styling cues borrowed from the likes of Ducati Diavel. Later on, Bajaj upgraded the bike later on with new colors, alloy wheels, sculpted fuel tank, and digital consoles. The Bike is powered by a 373cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled, engine putting out 34.5bhp and 35Nm of max Power and max torque respectively. The engine is coupled with a 6-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch for a smooth gear shift. The bike has got 320mm disc up front and 230mm disc at the rear.
