Volvo South Mumbai Dealership Goes Live – This is the second dealership by the same dealer partner in the metro city.
Volvo Car India continues to bolster its network by opening a new boutique showroom in Prabhadevi under the ownership of KIFS Motors. It is the 2nd showroom in Mumbai and highlights the focus of the fastest growing luxury car maker in one of the largest luxury car markets in India. The showroom is located in the main street that connects to the affluent areas of Mumbai, this is the place where the brand belongs. With South Mumbai added, Volvo Cars now has 25 Showrooms across India. The showroom was inaugurated by Mr. Charles Frump – Managing Director, Volvo Car India.
Mr. Vimal Khandwala, Dealer Principal – KIFS Motors said, “Our second showroom is a reflection of the confidence Volvo car management has in us. This showroom, located in the heart of South Mumbai will bring in the affluent customer base for Volvo cars. We are committed to contributing to Volvo’s growth in this key market.”
Volvo said they will be launching the S60 later around the end of 2019. The petrol only sedan will be equipped with an hybrid pack as well. The manufacturer wants to launch, before the all new S60, a bunch of electrified and hybrid cars which are the existing models such as the S90, XC90 and others. Thus creating a momentum for the new S60 to come in the market which is devoid of diesel in India like the rest of the world. Expect pricing to be competitive for all models as they will be made in the country at Volvo’s Bengaluru plant.
Volvo Car India already has established its presence in India in 2007 and has since then, worked intensively to market the Swedish brand in this country. Volvo Cars currently markets products through its dealerships in Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Chennai, Coimbatore, Delhi NCR – South Delhi, West Delhi, Gurgaon and Noida, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Kochi, Kozhikode, Kolkata, Lucknow, Ludhiana, Mumbai, Pune, Raipur, Surat, Vishakhapatnam and Vijayawada.
