2019 Vespa Urban Club 125 Variant brings some variety to ever existing product in the market
Piaggio India is looking to extend Vespa LX125 range with the introduction of a new variant – the Urban Club 125. Today, it has officially launched it. This new addition is offered in different color scheme and is expected to bear a price tag of Rs 72,190 (ex-showroom Pune). The Vespa Urban Club 125 joins the portfolio of meticulously finished products from the house of Vespa such as SXL, VXL and Elegante, and comes in four vibrant colours of Azzurro Provenza, Maze Grey, Glossy Yellow and Glossy Red.
Further, the company has used black front and rear wheel, black colored rear view mirrors, and black garnished front fender on 2019 Vespa Urban Club 125 to spark off its desirability factor. Even the tail light and apron has got the black highlights to drive home the point of distinction Urban Club has compared to LX125. In order to comply with new safety norms, Vespa Urban Club 125 will receive CBS as a standard part of the equipment.
Mechanically, the 2019 Vespa Urban Club 125 gets the same motor doing the duty on LX125. It is a 125 cc, single-cylinder petrol engine feeding the fuel through a carburetor. It puts out 9.76bhp and 10.6Nm of max power and max torque respectively. The engine is BS-IV compliant and will receive a CVT for channelizing the power to the wheels.
In terms of suspension hardware, the Urban Club, again, uses a similar arrangement that is seen on LX125. The front suspension is a single-arm hydraulic unit while at the back; a shock absorber has been used. In terms of competition, the upcoming Vespa Urban Club 125 will be pitted against the likes of TVS Ntorq 125, Honda Grazia 125, and Suzuki Access 125 among others.
