Honda’s new Grazia 125 BS6 is pitted squarely against TVS Ntorq 125 Race Edition and Suzuki Burgman Street. We put together these formidable rivals on paper to find how much substance each one of these brings to the table.
Engine and specifications: All three scooters in the comparison displace similar capacity but it is the TVS that come out to be on top with its highest 9.3PS and 10.5Nm of torque. In comparison, Suzuki produces 8.70PS of power and lowest 10Nm of rotational force. Dimensions
With the longest 1285 mm of the wheelbase, TVS NTorq 125 Race Edition should offer better straight-line stability. That said, TVS is the heaviest among the lot which means the rider has to put in more effort in maneuvering the scooter at low speeds. In the ground clearance department, Honda Grazia wins hands down with its generous 171mm belly off the ground.
Features and equipment
Each one of these scooters comes equipped with a specific set of features targeted to lure a particular set of customers. While Honda has positioned itself as a more mature and practical offering, TVS has gone all out to showcase its geeky appeal. Suzuki, on the other hand, has adopted the middle approach by offering a mix of practical and flashy equipment.
Verdict
TVS has an upper hand in the pricing department – thanks to the value for the money approach adopted by the company. It costs only Rs 73,365 while the Honda Grazia range starts from Rs 73,912 with the top model going all the way to Rs 80,978. Suzuki Burgman Street is quite costly too with its Rs 79,700 sticker price (all prices, ex-showroom, Delhi).
TVS Ntorq 125 Race Edition is an idea Scooter for all those who love performance over anything else. Suzuki Burgman Street has a very European feel and its maxi-style is its main draw. Honda Grazia 125 BS6 will expect to find favor with buyers who want a refined, flexible, and lightweight scooter that also comes equipped with quality features.
