Honda has surprised the market by launching a 184cc engine equipped BS6 Honda Hornet 2.0. The X-blade is the sole motorcycle now along with the Unicorn ofcourse. The Hornet 2.0 gets a whole host of changes making it more premium and powerful at the same time restarting a dead segment of the 180cc. The Honda competitors have been in this segment for decades but a new rival from erstwhile partner Hero entered this segment with a 200cc unit but with similar specifications. As another industry first, Honda will also be offering a special NEW 6-year warranty package (3 years standard + 3 years optional extended warranty) on Hornet 2.0. Let’s look at what is on offer.

Honda Hornet 2.0 Design and Dimensions

The new Hornet 2.0 will be available in four colors – Pearl Igneous Black, Matte Sangria Red Metallic, Matte Axis Grey Metallic and Matte Marvel Blue Metallic. The motorcycle looks good with a bikini fairing, golden color upside forks, multispoke alloy wheels, meatier rear tyre and new color schemes make it look much more different than before. The tail-lamp and headlamp unit continues to be similar with LED lighting all around, including the turn indicators. The key on the tank gives it a superbike feel.

BS6 Hornet 184cc Chassis, suspension and brakes

Diamond frame, upside-down forks is a segment-first and the petal brakes are discs at both end. 276 mm at the front and 220 mm at the back. It gets a single-channel front ABS to keep cost in check. 140 section tyre at the front and 110 section at the rear with good suspension promises very good class-leading dynamics.

BS6 Hornet 2.0 Speedometer and Switches

Negative lit instrument cluster with white color makes the meters very premium. There is also an engine kill switch, hazard light warning switch on offer.
