Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd launched the Thar Roxx, the 5-Door version at a price of ₹ 12.99 Lakh.Built on Mahindra’s All-New M_GLYDE platform, It effortlessly blends Thar’s outdoor DNA with modern sophistication, offering a premium SUV experience, claims the company. The SUV is aimed at disrupting the mid-size SUV segment where the Creta, Seltos, Kushaq and Taigun work. Mahindra plans to offer pure off-roading capability with segment leading powerful petrol and diesel engines as well. Will people choose the “real SUV” over its rivals, is yet to be seen. This SUV is clearly creates a new segment before the XUV 500 comes in to truly take on mid-size SUV space.
The Thar ROXX has been rigorously tested in extreme conditions across diverse terrains and altitudes, including the scorching sand dunes of the Thar desert at +50°C, the high altitudes of Umling La, tricky muddy surfaces in Coorg and the freezing cold of -20°C in Kaza.
