Hyundai India has reshuffled its i20 and Alcazar variants line up by removing the dual-tone paint option of its premium hatchback i20 and the removal of 6 seater Prestige variant has also been discontinued. Although Hyundai India hasn’t made an official announcement yet, most dealers have stopped accepting bookings of these variants of both models.
Previously Hyundai i20 was offered in 24 variants out of which 11 were dual-tone variants. Now according to reports, the dual-tone paint scheme will be exclusive to the performance-oriented i20 N-Line variants only.
With respect to the Hyundai Alcazar, the company has discontinued the manual Prestige 6-Seater and automatic Prestige (O) 6-seater variant of the three-seater SUV. This implies customers searching for a 6-seater variant should agree to a 7-seater variant or pay the additional premium to get either the diesel choice or the mid-spec Platinum trim. On account of the last option, the 6-seater variant is just available in automatic transmission only.
Customers searching for a section level 6-seater variation will pass up highlights like – second-row captain seats, mobile phone wireless charger, storage, and cup holders. The engine continues to be the same for both cars. 1.5 petrol and diesel for Alcazar with manual and automatic gearboxes. The 1.2 petrol, 1.0 litre turbo petrol and 1.5 diesel is seen on the i20.
