Ferrari GTC4 Lusso T Is A V8 Turbo Engine without four wheel drive make more sense as it more accessible and has approachable performance

Ferrari has just unveiled a sportier variant of the GTC4 Lusso and is calling it Ferrari GTC4 Lusso T. The Ferrari GTC4 Lusso T arrives with a modified version of the 3.8-litre V8 engine found in the California T. This engine produces a staggering 602 BHP while the peak torque arrives at 760 Nm. Interestingly the new Ferrari GTC4 Lusso T produces around 68 Nm more than the V12 powered GTC4 Lusso while making 72 bhp less than it. This variation means that it is the first time that Ferrari is offering a model with two engine choices. Also, it is for the first time that Maranello is offering a rear-wheel drive along a four-wheel drive set-up on any of its cars.

The new Ferrari GTC4 Lusso T will be 80 kgs lighter than the standard car, owing largely to the lack of four-wheel drive. This also changes the car’s weight distribution. This means 46% weight now goes to the front as compared to the V12’s 47%. Ferrari has also worked upon the dynamic control systems of the Ferrari GTC4 Lusso T.

The setting for the cars four-wheel-steering and SSC3 (Side Slip Control) that is. Further to make sure that there is no turbo lag, Ferrari has used Variable Boost Management. This system offers variable torque curves from third to seventh gears thereby providing a much linear acceleration. Further details about the car will only arrive during the car world début at the upcoming Paris Motor Show that starts next week.

However, it would be safe to assume that the Ferrari GTC4 Lusso T will a slightly slower than the V12 powered GTC4 Lusso’s 3.4sec 0-62 mph time. While the top speed might also be shadowed by the standard V12 powered cars 208 mph. This new entry-level model for Ferrari’s GTC4 range for obvious reasons will be priced lower than the standard V12 powered GTC4 Lusso. Stay with us as we bring you more updates about the same from the Paris Motor Show.
