Bajaj Auto is working on an onslaught of new generation of Pulsars that will find their underpinnings being borrowed from the all-new Pulsar N160/N150. Spy shots have emerged of the next generation 2024 Bajaj Pulsar 125 being on test in Pune. The big update on the new Pulsar 125 will be the new styling that appears to be more flamboyant than the current platform it is based on.
The test mule also appears to be in the finishing stages too. The Pulsar 125 gets a brand new headlight and similar tail-lamps. There could be a revise version of the Pulsar NS125 to make sure that it attacks the TVS Raider and Hero Xtreme 125 that are doing really well in the Indian market.
The Pulsar N 125 will have a lot of new hardware, but it will follow the ethos of the new platform more and the hardware less as the size will be significantly lower in the parts that will be used for it. The test mule also gets a dual-piece seat and single seat variants. Power will come from a 125cc motor that will be air-cooled making around 13 PS of power and 12 Nm of torque from 2-valve single spark engine. Dual spark engine will be done with as time passes by. Single channel ABS will be offered as an option very likely.
These are significant moves from Bajaj Auto. From premium 400cc to CNG bikes and from these 125cc to upgrading the 250’s. There is only two manufacturers which are getting aggressive like this and apart from Bajaj, the other one is surprisingly Hero Motocorp with its new R&D and brand-new focus on sporty motorcycles. Launch is expected late this year or early 2025. Stay tuned for details.
