Royal Enfield has a host of new motorcycles coming up across multiple platforms. While we’ve seen the 650, 410 and J-Series spawn motorcycles over the past years, the company is now gearing up to introduce a new line under the 450 range, including a bigger Himalayan and even a Roadster motorcycle, as spotted recently. The Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 Rally Raider was spied on for the first time while testing, promising a new segment for the company altogether. The upcoming Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 Rally Raider will take on the KTM 390 Duke Rally version which is also work in progress.

Details are scarce about the upcoming motorcycle but the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 Rally Raider looks close to production with a number of production parts. Easy to notice are the telescopic front forks, monoshock suspension at the rear, round headlamp, digital instrument console, a single-piece flat seat and a short and stubby tail section.

The new motorcycle is expected to draw power from the same new motor that will power the upcoming Himalayan 450. RE could revise the gearing on the latter to make it more suitable in the city. Expect more power delivery on the low end to keep it quick off the line. The new offering will also take on the upcoming Roadster being developed by Bajaj and Triumph. The model is expected to be positioned in the 350-400 cc segment and will be a global offering. Needless to say, the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 Rally Raider will be made for global markets too.

The Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 Rally Raider is expected to arrive by 2025. The Himalayan 450 is most likely the brand’s next big launch and could arrive around the festive season this year. Once the new 450 platform has been established, the Roadster could follow suit sometime in 2024. Apart from the Roadster, Royal Enfield is also working on the Shotgun 350 that will share its underpinnings with the Classic 350, while a new Bullet 350 is also on the cards from the company.
