MG Motor has always done something out of the box. While other OEM’s are raising prices, the carmaker has reduced prices on almost all variants of the MG Hector. Be it petrol or diesel. The prices are down from as low as Rs 29,000 to Rs 1.29 lakhs! This is some serious cut on top-end variant. The MG Hector always has been stupendous value for money and it continues to be so with this price cut even more. The manufacturer is offering diesel and petrol both. The diesel is still devoid of an automatic but the petrol gets a city friendly CVT. The MG Hector makes 170 PS and 350 Nm from its diesel motor and 150 PS and 250 Nm from its petrol motor which is also mated to a 6 speed manual.
This move is also in line with the Jeep Compass dropping its price by offering 4×2 in MT and AT variants. The Tata Harrier is about to get a big upgrade and Mahindra XUV 700 is already ruling the market in this segment.
