Royal Enfield has been working with the 650cc twin cylinder engine on the big projectile for quite some time. In the latest development, the manufacturer has announced the trademark of the name “Royal Enfield Bullet 650 Twin.
The trademark application was filed on July 26 and the status of the application was listed as “Formalities Check Pass” which means that the Indian Business Registration Form has been reviewed and submitted. Earlier, the manufacturer also trademarked the name “Royal Enfield Classic 650 Twin”. The Bullet 650 Twin has been spotted testing several times in India and abroad.
The Bullet 650 Twin will be similar to its older sibling, the Royal Enfield Bullet 350. It received similar treatment as before, with most updates taken from the 2021 RE Classic 350. The Royal Enfield Bullet 650 Twin seems to be powered by the same 648cc air/oil twin as the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650. As for the 650cc cruiser, the engine makes a maximum power of 47 PS at 7,250 rpm and 52.3 Nm At 5650 rpm, combined with a 6-speed gearbox. However, the Bullet 650 could be configured differently.
Bullet 650 Twin is expected to be launched at the Royal Enfield Motoverse motorcycle event to be held from November 22 to November 24, 2024 in Goa. It is likely to sell for around Rs 3 lakh (ex-showroom). Initially, it will compete with the upcoming BSA Gold Star.
